JAPANESE/ENGLISH
1967〜68年までの間、ベトナム戦争に従事していた米兵がベトナムで入手し、アメリカへと持ち帰ったヴィンテージがベース。右胸には虎、左胸にはアメリカ国旗と今は亡きベトナム共和国（南ベトナム）の国旗が刺繍されている。また特徴的なのは、背中の龍の刺繍が両袖の龍と同じデザインであること。このような図案のベトジャンは他に類を見ず、背中の「viet-nam」のフォントも特殊であることから、当時の兵士のカスタムオーダーで作られたものと考えられる。

表地はコットンツイル、裏地には袖通しの良いアセテートツイル生地を使用。袖口には古銭を模したボタンが付けられており、当時のディテールを細部まで再現した。ベトジャンの王道であるブラックに、ヴィンテージでも珍しいネイビーとカーキを加えた3色展開。

It is made based on the vintage jacket that a US soldier who stationed in Vietnam for the war from 1967 to 68, obtained in Vietnam and brought back to the United States with him. The flags of USA and the South Vietnam are embroidered on the chest. Another distinctive feature of this jacket is that the design of dragons on the both sleeve and back are all same, which is very rare for the Viet-jan. The font for “viet-nam” is also unique.

The shell fabric used is cotton twill, and the lining is acetate twill fabric. The button for cuff is shaped like an old-coin. All the details are duplicated true to ones of the original vintage.

VIETNAM JACKET

戦後の日本で誕生したスカジャン同様、1960年代から1970年代のベトナム戦争時に生まれたスーベニアジャケットが、通称ベトジャン。コットンツイル、もしくはカモフラージュ柄のポンチョライナーの2種類の生地が主に使われ、マットな太めの色糸で絵柄が刺繍されている。
