陸軍は全ての環境に対応すべく開発したM-43フィールドジャケットの導入に伴い、セットアップで着用するトラウザースを採用した。本来のM-43トラウザースに使用している素材は、フィールドジャケット同様に厚手のコットンサテン地を裏使いしたバックサテンであるが、これはヘリンボーンツイルを代用した非常に珍しい価値のある一本。ウエスト周りにはサイズ調節可能なタブが付き、ベルトループとサスペンダー用のボタンが設置され、着用の方法を選べる凝った仕様を持っているのが特徴。裾にはタブが付き、ボタンを留めるとジョッパースタイルとなって外気と土や埃の侵入を防いでくれる。
The trousers were adopted along with the M-43 Field Jacket, which the Army developed to meet the needs in all the possible situation. The material is the cotton back-satin as the field jacket, dyed in the military regulation olive drab No. 7 for camouflage effect. It features size-adjustable tabs around the waist, belt loops and buttons for suspenders, and elaborate specifications that provide the wearers with many options. Tabs are attached at the bottom, and when buttoned up, they form a jodhpurs style to keep out external air, dirt, and dust.
