デニムジャケットの完成形と謳われる1962年モデル。 通称、3rd（サード）。約20年もの間、継続して生産してきたスタンダードデニムシリーズのリニューアル版であり、以前のモデルから肩傾斜の修正を行うことで首まわりから肩にかけてのフィット感を向上させ、身幅と着丈にも修正を加えてアップデートしている。生地幅が28インチという狭幅のデニム生地を使用しているためヴィンテージはセルビッジを配していないが、本作はシュガーケーンオリジナルとして身返しの端にセルビッジを配した特別仕様で展開。

紡績、染色、織り、縫製の全工程にこだわってヴィンテージデニムを再現した結果、 多くの人々に長年愛用され、定番として作り続けられる名作。これこそが真の“STANDARD”である。
A renewed version of Sugar Cane ’s early 60s denim jacket, known as the 3rd type. The pattern was carefully adjusted for the length to be about 1” longer than the previous model, SC11962, and for a better fit around the neck and shoulders. The red selvage can be seen on the reverse side of the front placket.
