Aero Leather Company, which began producing A-2 jackets in the late 1930s, stands out as the contractor with the most deliveries, totaling seven. This attests to their superior technology and production capacity, enabling a stable supply. This particular A-2 model was manufactured during the fifth production lot in 1941. The previous four models had stand collars, but from this model onward, the design did not include a stand collar. Due to the use of the same pattern for the left and right front panels, the pockets were horizontally aligned to maintain balance when viewed from the front. Observing the distance from the side seams to the pocket positions, it's clear that the pockets are placed asymmetrically. A notable feature of this A-2 is the nearly rectangular shape of the pockets, owing to the narrow rounding at the bottom, and the narrow stitching width on the front panel, giving it a sharp appearance. The snap buttons used are ring stud type without rounded caps on the top parts, resulting in a distinctive wear pattern and rubbing marks over time. Among all 18 contractors and 39 production lots, only Aero Leather used red rib knit, making the contrast between the dark seal brown body and the red rib knit a distinctive symbol of the company.
