20世紀初頭に存在したものの、ヴィンテージで見つけることはインディゴブルーよりも困難なブラックウォバッシュストライプ。ブラックの硫化染料でベースを染めたあとに抜染でドットストライプをプリントしている。現存するヴィンテージから色を起こしたため、やや褪色した色味で仕上げている。
SUGAR CANE "FICTION ROMANCE"
実用性に基づくディテールや機能性を追求した縫製仕様など、ヴィンテージウェアにみられる色褪せない魅力。史実や当時の資料を紐解き、失われたディテールを蘇らせ、それらをシュガーケーンが独自に組み合わせることで生まれる虚構(Fiction)の物語(Romance)を具現化した作品群。
Black wabash stripes existed in the early 20th century but are far rarer to find in vintage than indigo versions. The base is dyed with black sulfur dye, then the dot stripes are printed using a discharge method. The coloration was matched from an existing vintage sample, resulting in a slightly faded finish true to its historical look.
SUGAR CANE "FICTION ROMANCE"
By reviewing and examining the documents of the time, Sugar Cane has revived a full range of functional details that are typical of the vintage work wear. It then combined the individual authentic details and uniquely applied them into their own items under the name of “Fiction Romance.”
