1940年代後半から1950年代にかけてヘッドライトが展開していたダンガリーズ（ワークパンツ）をベースに、インディゴツイード生地で製作。ワークパンツのタフな作りと、ヘリンボーンのクラシカルな雰囲気を併せ持つトラウザース。ツールポケットが両側にある仕様はヴィンテージでも珍しい。膝部分のみ二重になったダブルニー仕様で、膝当ての下脇部分には洗濯時の水抜き用の口が開いている。シルエットは太腿から裾に向かってやや細くなるテーパードライン。

実用性に基づくディテールや機能性を追求した縫製仕様など、ヴィンテージウェアにみられる色褪せない魅力。史実や当時の資料を紐解き、失われたディテールを蘇らせ、それらをシュガーケーンが独自に組み合わせることで生まれる虚構(Fiction)の物語(Romance)を具現化した作品群。
Based on the work pants known as "Dungarees" that HEADLIGHT produced in the late 1940s and 1950s. this pants are made of indigo tweed. It features a double knee construction only around the knee area. The leg is tapered slightly from the thigh to the hem. A pair of trousers combining the rugged construction of work pants with the classical look of herringbone. Rare among vintage examples, this model features tool pockets on both sides.

By reviewing and examining the documents of the time, Sugar Cane has revived a full range of functional details that are typical of the vintage work wear. It then combined the individual authentic details and uniquely applied them into their own items under the name of “Fiction Romance.”
